Soft Rock is a musical style which, in spite of using the same methods of rock and roll, is a more pleasing sound for the ear. Although it began in the early 70s, it wasn’t until the late 70’s, specifically by 1977, that became very popular, and many radio stations start playing songs belonging to this genre. Some of the artists that belong to this genre are Fleetwood Mac,Celine Dion, Matchbox 20, Counting Crows, among others. Some people, especially rock music’s followers, have criticized soft rock saying that it cannot be considered even rock music. In spite of these comments, many people around the world are passionate about soft rock and would not change a thing about it.
