Do you know what features are considered to determine that a specific type of music belongs to one or another genre? Basically, genre refers to a group of pieces of music that share certain styles; nevertheless, today, it is very common that music be categorized by geographical origin or other aspects that go beyond any type of musical criteria. Today, categorizing music is more difficult than ever before since many emerging styles with features of different genres have arisen. The list is simply huge: Classical, Gospel, Jazz, Latin American, Rhythm and Blues, Rock, Hip Hop, Rap, Pop and so on.
