Flyleaf is a hard rock band from Temple, TX. The original name of the group was Passerby but due to some legal aspects they had to change the name. The vocalist of the band explains that flyleaf is the blank page of a book where you write the dedication or a message to the person that you are giving the book, she also says that it is the idea of the music of the band, to offer good messages throughout their songs. Flyleaf is formed by Lacey Mosley who is the vocalist, James Culpepper the drummer, Jared Hartmann and Sameer Bhattacharya as guitarists and Kirkpatrick Seals the bassist.

The Flyleaf guys were together by 2002 and since that year they started to work to create their first album. During 2003 the band played in the South by Southwest music reunion and they attracted the attention of Octone Records and the group signed with them. After that, Flyleaf started to tour with groups like Breaking Benjamin, Saliva, 3 Doors Down and others.

The past year the group launched theirs first album which is self titled and was produced by Rick Parasher who also has produced records for other groups like Pearl Jam and Blind Melon.
