10 Years: But Only 4 Years Working Together

10 Years is an alternative hard rock and metal rock group which was created in 2002 in Knoxville, TN. Before their mainstream, they already had a record named Into the Half Moon. Nevertheless, the band released their independent and also debut album in 2004 and it is entitled “Killing All That Holds”. The disc contains the songs “Through the Iris” and “Wasteland” which rapidly was on different radio stations.

After the releasing of that disc the group was signed to Republic Universal in 2005. During the month of August in the same year they released their largest label debut with the album called “The Autumn Effect” in August. The next summer 10 Years toured with other bands like Disturbed and Ill Nino and during the fall they toured again with Breaking Benjamin, Smile Empty Soul, and then with Sevendust, Mudvayne, and Masters of Horror. In 2006 they toured with KoRn.

The song “Wasteland” (included in the disc Killing All That Holds) spent 16 weeks on different rock charts and finally reached the position number one on the Active Rock chart in December, 2005. During February 2006 the same single reached the number one position on the Alternative and Billboard Modern Rock charts also. Since 2004 the band has been positioned between the best metal and hard rock bands with Weezer, Nine Inch Nails, and Foo Fighters.

10 Years is composed by Jesse Hasek who is the vocalist, Matt Wantland and Ryan Johnson who are guitarists, Lewis Cosby in the bass and the drummer Brian Vodinh.
