Latin Super Star to Perform at This Year's BMI Awards

New York City, NY (PRWEB) April 6, 2006 -- A-PRmedia Group in New York announced today that Don Omar, the Puerto Rican reggaeton star, will pay homage to multi-talented Grammy winning performer and producer Juan Luis Guerra as part of the BMI Awards to be held this Friday April 7th at the Metropolitan Pavillon.

The awards ceremony will be a tribute to the singer/songwriter Juan Luis Guerra. Don Omar, accompanied by his band, will perform the song “Estrellitas y Duendes”, one of many international hits by Juan Luis Guerra.

Don Omar had this to say about his upcoming tribute to Juan Luis Guerra “It is a great honor to participate in this tribute to Juan Luis Guerra, an artist I deeply respect and admire and a distinguished representative of the various flavors and talents of the Latino people. My band will accompany me at this important event and I hope that my performance does Juan Luis proud.” He is currently on location filming his new video "Angelito Vuela/Fly my little Angel" in Rome, Italy. "Angelito Vuela" is the first single from his forthcoming album King of Kings.

After releasing 3 chart topping albums Da’ Hit Man Presents Reggaeton Latino, The Last Don and The Last Don LIVE, as well as topping the radio charts with numerous hits, Don Omar is adding the finishing touches to his new album King Of Kings, which will be released in May. He will be on promotions in New York week of May 22nd.
