The Lord of the Rings is a fantasy saga that British author J.R.R. Tolkien wrote during World War II. Peter Jackson directed the epic Lord of the Rings Trilogy of movies that were released in 2001, 2002 and 2003. Some of the stars of these movies are: Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom, Liv Tyler, Sean Astin, Sean Bean, Hugo Weaving, Christopher Lee, Cate Blanchett and Dominic Monaghan.

The soundtrack of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring includes songs performed by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra and composed by Howard Shore and Enya. This album also includes “May It Be” a song composed and performed by Enya. Some of the songs of the soundtrack of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers are: “Foundations of Stone”, “The Riders of Rohan”, “The White Rider”, “Helm’s Deep”, “The Forbidden Pool”, “Samwise The Brave” and “Gollum’s Song”, among others. The soundtrack of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King encompasses compositions and orchestrations of Howard Shore and interpretations of Annie Lennox, Sir James Galway, Billy Boyd, Ben del Maestro and Renée Fleming.
