Moby was born on September 11, 1965 in Darien, Connecticut. The real name of this electronic musician is Richard Melville Hall. This artist has also released music under the names Brainstorm/Mindstorm, Lopez, DJ Cake, The Brotherhood, UHF, Barracuda and Voodoo Child. Moby also plays guitar, bass and keyboard. Richard Melville took his artistic name from the famous novel Moby Dick, which was written by his relative Herman Melville. Moby began his career in 1980 when he was part of a punk band called the Vatican Commandos, but in 1989, he turned his back on punk and began his career in electronic music.

The Story So Far (AKA Moby) is the first album of Moby; it includes an extremely popular song called “Go”. This song is so popular that he still plays it in his concerts. The breakthrough album of Moby was Play, which was released in 1999. In 2005, Moby released Hotel, his latest album. This artist participates in noble causes such as MoveOn.org and PETA. The music of Moby is used in movies such as: Any Given Sunday, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Freddy Got Fingered, Black Hawk Down, The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy.
