We are proud to collaborate with Prescription to offer South Africans with a medium that will further the reach and range of their voices on the global ear,” said Saumil Nanavati, President of Sydus on the partnership.

In March 2005, Sydus launched an innovative concept with their software, MobileRadio by introducing the world’s first 3G mobile radio service, in partnership with Virgin Radio UK. It has also partnered with Barnabas Road Media and launched the world’s first Christian Music mobile radio service.

Within a year of its launch, Sydus has enabled the world’s most listened-to radio service. Sydus provides brands with an ideal solution for reaching out to their target audiences with music. This is supported by research by ABI Research which predicts that the global market for mobile music should hit US$9.3 billion by 2011.

Independent Musicians Take Another Leap Forward with Playin’ Music's Release of 33 New Acidized Loop Libraries

Independent musicians and composers are gaining more and more power to succeed on their own. By using royalty free “loops” composers are able to collaborate with a huge variety of musicians while keeping the cost and time consumption to a very small fraction of what it might otherwise be.

Twin Peaks, CA (PRWEB) April 5, 2006 -- Playin’ Music launches their acidized loop library line with a whopping 33 new titles. Each library is available in both 16 and 24 bit resolutions. The 24 bit CD’s have 600-640 megs of material, and the 16 bit versions have between 350 and 450 megs. They’re all being offered at 25% off until April 30th; promotional prices range from about $10.00 to $20.00 per CD.

There are 11 new Guitar loops discs, 4 new Drum loop discs, 4 new Bass loops discs, 5 new Keyboard loops discs, 5 new Vocals loop discs, and 4 new compilation discs.

A loop is a short segment of music, where usually a single instrument is being played. It’s usually one or two bars long. It's made so that when it's repeated again and again (looped) it creates a "rhythmic groove". It's not necessary to play the loops repeatedly but is a common quality they have. Loops are frequently more useful when they're not being played back to back. Think of a loop as a short "riff" played by a musician on his or her instrument. In most instances that phrase will not be repeated again and again in a song. So for most types of music stringing different phrases together is more appropriate. The fact that they are usually only a bar or two long makes them ideal for arranging and rearranging into songs. Royalty free means there’s no royalties due anyone if the song containing them is sold for money.

Loops can be a huge time and money saver when those factors are important. There's no travel time or travel expense involved, and there are no disagreements about what to play. Composers can pick which drummer they’d like for any particular song, which bass player, which keyboard player and on and on. They can have several of each if they’d like, and can remove them from the song without offending anyone.

For more information including samples and demo songs for each disc visit their Web site at: http://www.playinmusic.com

Emmaus Road Reaches #3 On WPFF Radio's Top 40 Chart

Emmaus Road Reaches #3 On WPFF Radio's Top 40 Chart

Emmaus Road, a new contemporary Christian band from Southern California, climbs to the #3 spot on 90.5FM WPFF Radio in Wisconsin with a song off of their debut CD, Seven Mile Journey.

SIMI VALLEY, CA (PRWEB) April 5, 2006 -- Emmaus Road has been hard at work promoting their debut release "Seven Mile Journey" (DT4JC Music Company), and their efforts appear to be paying off. 90.5FM WPFF Radio (http://www.wpff.com), a major Christian radio station outside of Green Bay, WI, has been supporting the band by placing several songs on regular airplay rotation. The first song to hit the WPFF airwaves, "Glorify Your Name," has already climbed to the #3 spot as of this writing.

Members of Emmaus Road are no strangers to contemporary Christian music. Brothers Dean andamp; Tony Palacio have already released two popular praise CDs through their home church, Blessed Hope Chapel (http://www.blessedhopechapel.org), where they are also the worship directors. ER drummer, Robbie Destocki, also provides the drums on both releases, co-producing the second praise release, In Your Presence, along with the Palacio's. In 2004, Dean, Tony, Robbie, and female vocalist Charlotte Laystrom teamed up to form Emmaus Road. They recorded and produced their 10 song debut release, writing 6 of the 10 songs, then started shopping the CD to various radio stations. In summer 2005 they had the privilege of traveling around the U.S. to share their music. One stop along the way was a Christian music festival in Porterfield, Wisconsin called Powerfest Christian Music Festival (http://www.powerfest.us). The sponsor of the festival was WPFF Radio and station manager, Dr. Mark Schwarzbauer. He liked what he heard at the festival, asked the band back for their July 2006 event, and began playing their music on his station. Over the next 15 weeks "Glorify Your Name" began traveling up their Top 40 chart, eventually reaching #3 as of this writing.

"We realize how tough it is to break your music into radio," admits Tony Palacio (bass and vocals) "and Dr. Mark has been so supportive of our music. With so much great music, and artists looking for airplay, we understand how huge this really is." No doubt, program managers have a tough job weeding through all of the music landing on their desks. But Emmaus Road have been fortunate enough to catch the ear of WPFF's Program Manager not once, but several times. "Glorify Your Name" is actually the fourth song that has been on regular rotation on WPFF since 2005. Other ER songs that have aired are "Meet With Me," "Your Love," and current regular rotation song, "Turn to You," which happens to be sitting at the #21 spot as of this writing. "Maybe this success story will catch on closer to home. We'd love to have songs playing here in our local area, so our family, friends and local fans can hear us on the radio, too."

To learn more about Emmaus Road, hear their music, and more, please visit http://www.emmausroad.us

CDs in Release: Seven Mile Journey (2005), In Your Presence-Live Worship at Blessed Hope Chapel (2005), Enter In-Live Worship at Blessed Hope Chapel (2003)

Available on iTunes, Amazon.com, CDBaby.com, IndependentBands.com and on the band's website, http://www.emmausroad.us

Paragon cares about the artist and not only their own needs. We had nothing but a positive experience with the competition. It is an example of a company that lives up to their promises. This is the first time that we have ever played a battle where we have actually received all that was promised to us." Rogers and Paragon have doubled the cash prize money and are excited by the prospect of this one of a kind competition.

Paragonyx Entertainment was originally started in June of 2003 by Toronto musician Michael Gruneir. Michael is a lead singer in an independent toronto acoustic band Autumn Hill, and he wanted to put together a competition that geared to the interests of established independent artists that took music seriously and professionally. The ultimate goal of all Paragon Band Competitions is to provide musicians in Toronto and Southern Ontario with the opportunity to play in a competition, that unlike many other similar events, bases its results solely on talent of its participants and where the judges were legitimate music industry professionals. Paragon's official website: www.paragononline.ca further allows band members and music fans to communicate via the Paragon community message board about Paragon and any other music related interests. Paragon is a band competition program geared toward serious independent bands and musicians that have substantial live experience.

Lital Rotman, the Media and Marketing Director of Paragonyx joined the organization in january of 2005 at a crucial time. Media exposure and organization were necessary to organize a free outdoor charity concert for two local charities: Variety Village and Inner City Angels. Michael and Lital have been business partners ever since and have organized both the Rogers Paragon Platinum and 5k series together.

For more information about Paragon, go to:
www.paragononline.ca
www.myspace.com/paragononline
