Formed in Los Angeles, California in the early 1970’s, Eagles is an American rock music group that reached a great deal of accomplishments during their career. Their pop- rock songs included topics about cars, relationships, and the wandering life.

In 1994, the release of the first Eagles album of new recordings, Hell Freezes Over, sold more than 6 million copies in the United States, was number one the Billboard Album chart remaining in the Top 100 for 17 months, and was also number four on the Billboard’s 1995 year-end Top Album of the Year ranking, and the Eagles were number five among Top Album Artists of the Year.

The Eagles have won different awards in various categories such as Favorite Pop Group, Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist, and Favorite Pop Rock Album for Hell Freezes Over. Besides winning four previous Grammy Awards, the Eagles were nominated to four more Grammy’s: Best Pop Performance, Best Pop Album and Best Engineered Album for Hell Freezes Over, and Best Rock Performance by a Group or a Duo with Vocal for “Hotel California.” The fact that the Eagles got a lot of awards internationally shows the great success of this band.

In comparison to other groups, The Eagles sold more albums than 90 million albums around the world, reaching five No. 1 singles and five No. 1 albums. In the United States, the second biggest selling album was Greatest Hits 1971-1975, which also got a platinum certification. Without any doubt, the Eagles have known how to conquer its audience through its music, and its efforts have been reattributed by many awards.
