50 Cent is a famous rapper, his real name is Curtis James Jackson III and he was born on July 6, 1975. 50 Cent has released two albums: Get Rich or Die Tryin and The Massacre; both of these albums are multi-platinum. He has sold approximately 22 million albums around the world. This artist has the reputation of being a tough person, he was a crack dealer and he was shot nine times and still survived. His reputation was spread all around New York, where he had a lot of followers even before signing a record deal. In 1995, Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan gave Jackson (50 Cent) the chance to appear in the music video for a song called Incarcerated Scarfaces.

When Eminem listened to one of the mixtapes of 50 Cent for the first time, he immediately gave it to Dr Dre. Marshall Mathers (Eminem) told MTV that he was interested in the music of 50 Cent. Many negotiations took place but in the end 50 Cent signed a deal with Interscope Records. This rap artist was also the first to sign with a fusion of Shady Records and Aftermath Entertainment (record companies of Eminem and Dr. Dre respectively). 50 Cent recorded a song called Wanksta; it appeared in the soundtrack of 8 Mile.
