Twice Grammy nominated as Best New Artist and Best Female Rock Vocal Performance in 2000 and 2003 respectively, Susan Tedeschi has confirmed her excellent production and inimitable performance. She was born on November 9, 1970 in Boston; there she attended Berklee College of Music, where she graduated on composition and music performance. Tedeschi had a special inclination towards music since she was a small child; she sang for her family, performed in school activities and in college she sang in the gospel choir.

By 1994, Tedeschi had already formed her own band, which she called Susan Tedeschi Band, with two fellow musicians, Tom Hambridge and Adrienne Hayes. The following years, the band recorded “Better Days” but they only reached regional audiences. Later on, they signed a contract for Tone-Cool Records, and they released a new production in 1998, called “Just Won’t Burn".

The main influences she portrays in her vocal production are Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin. She recently married Derek Trucks, who is involved with the musical scenario too. Her latest album “Hope and Desire” marks a new period because she tried to give it a more flexible presentation for people to enjoy even more.
