Nieves Rebolledo Vila, best know as Bebe, was born in Valencia, Spain, on May 9, 1978. At a young age, her family moved to Extremadura where she received high exposure to music due to the fact that her two parents were part of a folk group called Surberina. She spent her childhood singing to her parents and around musical instruments. At the age of eleven she picked up her first guitar, around 1995 she started her musical career as a backup singer in a group called Vanagloria. That pop rock group didn’t satisfied her fully tough. She traveled then to Badajoz where, with a guitar and her own songs, she started performing at several bars around her place.

Bebe moved to Madrid as she decided to study dramatic arts. During that time she continued to write music with one of her brothers that moved to Madrid too. A few months past her moving to Madrid, she started to perform at bars where other singers and songwriters played. In 2001, Bebe won the first place in a contest for young singer/songwriters in Extremadura. Seeing the potential she had, other artists like Tontxu and Luis Pastor started to collaborate with her.

In 2003, Bebe was able to get a small role in the Fernando Colomo film Al Sur de Granada. She also played another role in the film El Oro de Moscu. Still she devoted most of her time to her music, having already built her base of fans in Spain. In 2004, Bebe released her debut album entitled Pafuera Telarañas produced by Carlos Jean. Even though the album did not receive much attention by the time of its release, she became a huge revelation. In 2005, she was nominated for five Latin Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist and Best Album (becoming the year's most nominated act).
