Mouse on Mars is an electronic music duo from Germany. This duo was formed in 1993; they create their music using rock instruments such as guitars, bass and drums. The sound that Mouse on Mars creates is a blend of disco, trance, techno, analog synth sounds and ambient. In 1994, this duo released their first album (Vulvaland). This album mixes ambient and techno while their second album, Iaora Tahiti, encompasses even more electronic dance genres. The use of live instruments began to be important for them on Idiology, their fifth album. Radical Connector is their most recent album; Idiology and Radical Connector include the vocal performances of touring drummer Dodo Nkishi.

The members of this duo are Jan St. Werner and Andi Toma; drummer Dodo Nkishi plays with them on their concerts; in fact, in 2005, Mouse on Mars released Live 04, their first live album. Mouse on Mars started a record label called Sonig; this label releases their own work and the work of other German artists. This duo has been in charge of producing EPs. They have remixed the work of other musicians as well as recorded music for film soundtracks. The discography of Mouse on Mars includes: Vulvaland, Autoditacker, Instrumentals, Glam (Sonig), Glam (TK CB), Niun Niggung, Idiology, Glam (Thrill Jockey), Radical Connector and Live 04.
