The Pussy Cat Dolls is a pop female band that was created in 1995 with the purpose of being a burlesque dance group in the Caesar Palace, Las Vegas as well as Los Angeles.  The group is made up of six women, who are Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Kimberly Wyatt, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts and Jessica Sutta.  The founder of the group is called Robin Antin, who is a choreographer.  During their first years, they performed with an extensive list of guest vocalists.  Also, The Pussy Cat Dolls started on the lesbian and gay scene.  In fact, they rely on a great transsexual fan population.

The Pussy Cat Dolls’ debut album was called PCD and was launched on September 13, 2005.  This disc actually had a great acceptance in the audience and reached #5 on the Billboard 200 since it sold around 99,000 copies.  In addition, this group was in charge of the 2004 MTV Asia Awards.  In 2005, these girls also appeared at the MTV Europe Music Awards.  Last year too, The Pussy Cat Dolls won a Billboard Music Award.  Last February, they claimed they were to tour with The Black Eyed Peas.

Amazingly, the famed toy company Hasbro recently announced that they will launch dolls of each of the members of the group.  The Pussy Cat Dolls’ repertoire comprises cover versions of the pop standards as well as pop/R&B.  These covers are most of the time related to cabaret, drag shows and burlesque traditions.  Among the awards they have received, the 2005 Billboard Music Award for Top Dance/Club Play Single of the Year and the 2006 Die Goldene Kamera in Germany for Pop Intenational are outstanding.  Thus, with The Pussy Cat Dolls, you can be always surprised.
