Twisted Sister is a heavy metal band from New York City. This band was formed by Jay Jay French in 1973. Alice Cooper, the New York Dolls, KISS, Motörhead and Judas Priest are some of the artists that influenced Twisted Sister. The current members of this band are: Dee Snider (vocals), Jay Jay French (guitars, backing vocals), Eddie “Fingers” Ojeda (guitars, backing vocals), Mark “The Animal” Mendoza (bass, backing vocals) and A.J. Pero a.k.a. Anthony Jude Pero (drums, backing vocals). Other members of this band were: Michael “Valentine” O’Neill (vocals, 1973 - 1974), Billy “Diamond” Stiger (guitars, 1973 – 1974), Kenny Neill a.k.a. Kenneth Harrison-Neill (bass, 1973 – 1978), Mell “Starr” Anderson (drums, 1973 – 1975), Kevin John Grace (drums, 1975 – 1976), Tony Petri (drums, 1976 – 1980), Ritchie Teeter (drums, 1980 – 1981), “Fast” Joey Brighton (drums, 1981 – 1982), and Joey “Seven” Franco (1987 – 1988).

In 1982, Twisted Sister released Under the Blade, their debut album. In 1988, the band broke up but in 1997, the classic lineup of Snider, French, Ojeda, Medoza and Pero came back to reissue a catalogue with previously unreleased songs. This group is still together; occasionally, they make small tours around the world. Some songs of Twisted Sister are: “You Can’t Stop Rock’n’Roll”, “We’re Not Gonna Take It”, “I Wanna Rock”, “The Price”, “Leader Of The Pack”, “Be Chrool To Your Scuel” and “Hot Love". Many of these songs discuss the conflicts between parents and children and criticize the educational system.
